Brooke Ponder & Logan Brooks

We’re excited to celebrate the wedding of Brooke Ponder & Logan Brooks this weekend at the farm! We interviewed the happy couple in preparation for the big day to find out how they met, how he popped the question, what they are most excited about, and what they’ve learned throughout the planning process.

How did you meet?

We met each other at The Univeristy of South Alabama. It was my freshman year, and I had just recently joined a sorority. Our first swap was with KA which happened to be the fraternity Logan was in. We started to hang out with friends going to football games together, dove hunting, and swaps. We instantly became best friends who told each other everything. A couple of months later we were in line at Whataburger, and we knew we were more than best friends. We have been together ever since and still love to eat Whatburger. 🙂

Tell us about the proposal!

We got engaged on November 25, 2019. Every year, the week before Thanksgiving, Logan’s family goes on vacation to Gatlinburg, TN. We always ride through Cades Cove when we are there. On November 25, 2019 we were riding through Cades Cove just like we always do, and we stopped to take pictures. Logan and I were standing there taking our pictures, and he turns around and points and says “look at that deer” I turned around to look and there wasn’t a deer. When I turned around, he was on one knee asking me to be his wife!

What moment are you most looking forward to on your wedding day?

Brooke: Seeing each other for the first time when we walk down the aisle. We are not doing a first look, so this will be the first time we see each other.

Logan: Saying “I do” and being introduced as Mr. and Mrs. Brooks.

Why did you choose Triple T Farm?

We chose Triple T Farm because it was recommended to us by a friend. When we first toured the venue, I fell in love. I loved the various options they provided for the ceremony sites. I loved how accommodating everything was. Chad and Jennifer helped with everything along the way. The venue has a bridal house which is super convenient for all the bridesmaids to stay in and wake up already at the venue to get ready for the day.

What is the theme or style of your wedding?

My theme for the wedding is a mixture of farmhouse and rustic. Our colors are dusty sage and desert color with accents of white rustic farmhouse.

What advice would you give couples just starting to plan their wedding?

I recommended using the Knot to create your wedding website. You can post your website to social media sites, and your guests can read information about your wedding. They will be able to see your registry and RSVP on the site as well. You can upload pictures onto your website, too.

Make sure to plan early! You will forget things along the way and it’s better to notice you’re missing something sooner rather than later. If you want to do something do it. This is your wedding, so you make it how you want it to be.

Do you have any advice for future couples?

Always date each other. Don’t be afraid to try new things. Make time for each other. Even if it’s planning to start a Netflix show and cook dinner together. You are going to argue, but everyone does. Don’t go to bed mad at each other, because you never know what tomorrow holds.

Conclusion

Thank you so much to Brooke and Logan for sharing their beautiful love story with us and for choosing to celebrate at Triple T Farm. We are so excited to share this special day with you, your family, and your friends!
