Kristen Sealy & Patrick Alterio

We’re excited to celebrate the wedding of Kristen Sealy & Patrick Alterio this weekend at the farm! We interviewed the happy couple in preparation for the big day to find out how they met, how he popped the question, what they are most excited about, and what they’ve learned throughout the planning process.

How did you meet?

We met in downtown Mobile, Alabama during Mardi Gras 2018. We talked occasionally for 2.5 months before going on our first date. Patrick asked me to see a movie, have dinner and watched the sun set at the pier in Daphne, Alabama.

Tell us about the proposal!

Patrick and I bought our first home together in January 2020. My mom and sister planned a house warming party for us and invited all of our family and friends over. We opened gifts from everyone who attended but there was one last gift. Patrick popped the question after thanking everyone for coming.

What moment are you most looking forward to on your wedding day?

Kristen: Seeing each other for the first time when walking down the aisle. 

Patrick: Saying “I Do”

What is the theme or style of your wedding?

Our wedding theme is a rustic theme.

What advice would you give couples just starting to plan their wedding?

Do exactly what YOU and YOUR PARTNER wants. I made the mistake of worrying about making others happy and it made planning stressful and no longer fun.

Do you have any advice for future couples?

Communicate!! You will be amazed at how smoothly things go when communication is 100% open. Never go to bed mad at each other.
